Consolidations to reduce emissions from multiple parcels
We have coined the term Slow & Sustainable Commerce and we believe in supporting customers while reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible. This means we do not keep every item on our premises and we consolidate titles with our regular (weekly) special orders.
If the product page in our online bookstore says the item is a special order product, it will travel to you within 4-14 days. This means we are able to reduce the number of trips needed to transport goods between suppliers, warehouses and you.
Delivery times are in addition to the processing times for each title. Piper Press titles ship faster than other books, and may be processed within 1-3 days as they are on-hand.
Sustainable Production
Paper and production management
We opt for non-wood pulp paper when it makes sense to do so for our own publications. However, our publications are generally on fine art papers and heavier stock, so this choice depends very much on the publication itself.
Non-wood pulp can reduce deforestation and lower energy use.
Giant publishers undertake large scale pulping, and we don't believe this is sustainable. Instead. we manage print runs to forecast quantities carefully and avoid waste, cost and disappointment from authors.
Our Japanese printing partner's sustainability efforts focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, investing in energy-saving equipment, and using sustainable materials like FSC-certified and EUDR-compliant paper.
We are also exploring the use of soy-based inks in offset printing.

Australian Booksellers may order Piper Press titles via New South Books, for national delivery. You should have an Alliance account and can order as normal via the Alliance channels.

HOW LONG WILL ORDERS TAKE TO PROCESS?
Piper Press titles are dispatched in 1-2 days or less.
All other titles may take 4-10 days to supply if they are not in our stock holding or we are in the midst of restocking. This is only a guide, and we are constantly re-stocking, so it could be sooner.
DELIVERY INFORMATION
We deliver Australia wide via courier or Australia Post depending on your location.
For Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane: Allow 1-2 days for transit.
For Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin, Perth: Allow 2-4 days for transit.
Please note, Australia Post can at times take longer and we are unfortunately not in control of this, but our couriers are fairly swift. If you like swift, opt for a work or home address rather than a PO box.
For regional areas allow 5 days on average.

Delivery internationally is estimated at 7-20 days depending on the delivery service chosen and volumes being shipped.
We ship via DHL or Fedex and arrival may be subject to local taxes and duties, delays or transport connections in the country of arrival.
CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
Yes ! A tracking number will be emailed upon payment and dispatch.
