Publishing with Piper Press
Piper Press is an independent arts publisher with over 35 years’ experience. We have built a strong reputation for wide distribution and long-term visibility of the books we publish.
Our titles are distributed to bookshops, gallery and museum stores, libraries and schools across Australia and New Zealand through NewSouth, and are available internationally.
We work across a range of publishing pathways, supporting projects from early concept through to distribution. Whether originating in-house or developed in collaboration with artists, estates, institutions or partners, each book is approached with careful attention to audience, format, production quality and long-term relevance.
We manage the full publishing process, including editorial development, design, production and print, with a strong focus on materials, finish and overall integrity of the book. We also oversee distribution, marketing, and guidance on copyright and ISBN requirements.
Submissions & Project Enquiries
We are a small, focused publisher and work selectively across defined categories. Alongside submissions, we welcome early-stage conversations with individuals and organisations developing publishing projects.
We are interested in projects that contribute meaningfully to the cultural landscape and demonstrate a clear audience, institutional and trade bookselling relevance, or long-term value.
